Holiday Party Chic
Holidays…oh how I love this time of year! Excuses for everything. Excuses to throw parties, to overindulge in eating and drinking, to buy extravagant gifts for your favorite people AND…the perfect excuse to dress to the nines. When I think holidays I think sparkle, sparkle, shine, shine! Since I’ve been getting into the holiday spirit a bit early this year I’ve been wearing perfect holiday party dresses each week on Smackdown (don’t worry, I’m going to try and keep it going all season long). But today, I want to break down a few of the looks I’ve had on recently so you can get started shopping for your upcoming holiday affairs!
Miami is a city that is always party ready. So my friends at Haute Glam Boutique in South Florida sent me this beautiful party dress to wear. Here’s why it’s perfect for your party. It’s long sleeved. Hallelujah! Most sparkly dresses aren’t for some reason. Christmas and New Years are winter holidays. So it’s never a bad thing to have that extra fabric on your arms and still keep this epic level of fabulousness. I love the color scheme here. Black and gold. Gold screams holiday festive and black helps you bring it down to earth. Throw on a killer pair of black heels and your holiday look is a knock out. Trust me, I’ve gotten so many compliments on this dress, you won’t regret the purchase. Keep in mind it is sequins, so tighter to get on. I’d recommend going one size up in this hot little number.
Looking for that perfect New Years Eve dress? Well this one is a sure head turner. This plunging neck sequins mini-dress by Wyldr is a guaranteed win. The neckline is definitely party ready. Maybe a little too low-cut for that work party. But a great dress to tear up the dance floor with your girlfriends in, or impress your date for the evening. My husband was a big fan of it. The midnight blue color is sexy and sophisticated. The perfect color and style to ring in the New Year, no matter what your evening holds!
This last little number has also quickly become a fan favorite. This sea foam green sequined dress by TFNC London is simply gorgeous. It sparkles from every angle and is such a rich and beautiful holiday color. It reminds me of the movie Frozen. Not a full sleeve but at least three quarters to help keep you warm in the colder climates. This dress is absolutely appropriate for a work holiday gathering, but also could be great for a night out on the town. The dress is fully lined, so you won’t experience any itchiness from the sequins. It’s a gorgeous, show-stopping look that looks great with a nude heel.
